Pre op diet going well
I am soooooo proud I am in day 7 of my pre op diet I know most of the weight loss is water but I have lost 17 lbs, that is weight my dr has to deal with. I really have not struggled or felt deprived, I really think allot of it is attitude. I could not have done it with out gods help and the support you all, have given me. 9-10-08 is the first day of the rest of my life. I have left everything in gods hands through this whole thing and even if he would cancel it now for some reason I know he is in control. THANK YOU ALL
Hi Roberta--glad to hear you are doing so great. My surgery is scheduled for 9/15/08, so I started yesterday and you are right, I do not feel deprived at all. (My son got married 8/30/08 so that stress is all over and I didn't fill myself up with food or sweets.) The nutrition lecture I got was extremely well informed so I do have some options to fill in just in case I do start to feel deprived. Good luck for the days to come and also with your surgert. Sandra
I know what you mean about being proud - I really didn't have a problem with the pre-op diet either - and I think it is because this is something that we want.. I know I am more determined than ever to lose this weight and the motivation of seeing the scales going down is one of the things that keeps me on track/
Congratulations!

You are doing great! I am so happy to read about your attitude, which has helped me to frame my upcoming pre-op diet in my own head. I start mine this coming Friday. Thanks for sharing!
